Information about FOGGIA Although Fóggia flourished under Frederick II, who declared it an imperial residence and built a palace here, the town was devastated in turn by the French in 1528, an earthquake in 1731 and Allied bombs during World War II. Today the city's streets are all reassuringly earthquake-proof, wide and low-built, a modern layout that is handsome. Foggia is the land of the ancient Capitanata, today flat and sunny which has been compared to an anthology of the world for the richness and variety of its land, history and people: patient shepherds, courageous fishermen and tireless farmers. An anthology to glace through, a land to discover with the spirit and the curiosity of the pioneer.
